So far I'm trimming the buds off the stem and leaving them to dry on wrapping papper. Open to any ideas of what to do next. First time curing and drying.

got any kilner jars or jam jars? fill them with the bud after its had its drying time, depends on bud size for how long to dry, but when the initial dry is done, put in the jars and open them up once a day for an hour to let gas and moisture build up disipate.

If you're drying on wrapping paper, why not use brown paper bags with a cheap rh meter? That way you can adjust your rh by closing/opening the bag. Keep the rh in the low 60's and temps around 68-72 and you should have a nice slow dry. I used this method for the first time last year and it gave me a nice slow dry. Then, cure like go go kid says.

Glad you mentioned that. I always put open dried meats into a paper bag and I find it gets the flavour and freshness. I will definitely getting some paper bags. Thank you guys.

yes good practice, dont make the mistake i did my first time and put them in jars leaving and them, thinking it was all good and dry. wasted a good amount of bud, well everything in the jars.
if i remember corectly, there was something about leaving them in the sun to loose chlorafil from the buds, but ill leave it to someone with more experiance of that. i make oils with an alcahol soak, so i just dry the buds, but i have no temprature constant room for drying, i have anold caravan i use to grow n dry, it has no front window and the door wont close propperly so it takes longer for mine to dry

I have mine slow drying in my basement. Moisture levels and temperature stay constant. Sending my wife to the dollar store to get some Mason jars. Thanks. Checked this morning and they need more time.
