Hey all. Okay so i have a dilemma, I have 4x 27 watt/ 6500K CFLs. my grow box is like 2x2x4. Im just curious how to wire up these lights. I know this is a newb question but could someone give me a list of some stuff i could use. I see people useing the Y splitters etc... but i'm not very electical inclinded :P So if someone could give me some ideas how to get power to my lights that would be great :)

buy a power strip. plug your y splitters into it. screw your cfl's into the y splitter. hang all of these things upside down from the top of your grow box. most power strips have holes in the back so that you can hang them on a wall with screws. use those. buy an extension cord. plug your powerstrip into your extension cord. plug the extension cord into an outlet.

and the dude said, "let there be light". and there was light... and the light was good. :peace:

i would think you can get everything at walmart no problem. maybe not the y splitters... i don't know what kent or a canadian tire are, but if they are hardware stores you should be able to get them there. :peace:

medicinal grade marijuana is a great place to start. you should try and find out the exact strain though so that you can read about it online. knowing your strain gives you valuable flowering time info and height/yield estimations. if those don't work out for you, you can always get seeds from the attitude seedbank. let me know what you pick up. :peace:

Here are a few pictures, i just went and got a little fan. I have it just blowing around in there. And added a thermometer/humidity. There are no direct holes in my cabnit but there is not a tight seal around the door at all. What do u guys think? Should i get a actual hole?

ah i see them now. looks good.

roseman's idea is good, too. a reflector always helps. but your space is so small you may not be able to fit it.

another note: you should find a way to get that fan to blow across the plant so that it can strengthen the stem.

yeah i've been thinking about that too man. I think im going to hang the fan about halfway down.

I'm about to relocate my grow. I have a closet which is empty and also painted white. So im going to use this to possibly have more room/better air flow. The temps in my cabnit are 90+ and my plant is getting heat stroke there lmao. So... im going to move my lights into the closet and hang them above my plant. Have a 4 inch fan blowing onto the plant and have a room fan blowing in the room. My only question is without a reflector of some sort above my lights.. will i lose the effect? and without this being closed in will my moisture lvl not being high enough make a difference?
