need experienced help with curing

I dryed my bud for about 6 days, put em into a mason jar. Been about 5 days now and no moisture buildup. I'm thinking the bud is dry and too dry to cure properly.

I've been putting bread in it to moisten it a bit but no moisture yet to even burp.

It still has a heavy grass/hay smell.. looking for any insight into what I can do.

Thanks in advance.

do you have a hygrometer in the jar? so how do they feel, are they dry enough to smoke...do they crumble into dust when you break the buds apart

I'm really surprized your RH is so low with only 6 days hanging....you must be in a hot/dry climate

I would not use bread to moisten but it will work.....try using a MJ leaf if you have one still growing....no fear of picking up a foreign taste/smell

No hydrometer. Its desert area, winter time. Usually mid 60s to mid 70s right now. I can get a leaf from a clone I have. I had them on a rack, adequate airflow, above the cfl lights. What do you rrcommend?

once i dried too long before jarring. i'd read that putting a ball of wet paper, or such, into the jar would restore some moisture. i did it and all worked well. the bud was no longer crispy. check the jar after about twelve hours as the dry buds will begin soaking up the extra humidity. GL

ok...I'm on the coast so high RH is normal.....if it's dry/flakey, then yes you should try to moisten it.....just a small piece of fresh leaf will have lots of moisture

BTW...you should buy a hygrometer...go to your local cigar shop
