need flowering advice

I need some flowering help.
I have an AeroGarden hydro grow with three girls on 12/12s for about 3 ½ weeks. Bud sites are popping. I’ve been feeding them Flora Nova Grow and Big Bud nutes. As the reservoir goes down I’ve been topping it off with the water/nute mix. Once a week I drain/flush the reservoir and add a new water/nute mix.

 My questions are: Should I be topping off the reservoir with just water and only adding more nute mix once a week, after flushing? I seen this recommended in a thread I read. My reservoir goes quite low during the week when the temps rise. Will the plants get enough nutes when I top off with just water?
Also, I’ve seen some folks recommending adding molasses to the water with no nutes during flowering. Can someone please offer advice on this practice?
I am looking for any help I can get to make them buds grow and develop trichromes.
:peace:

i dont think you should add mollasses with a hydro system of any kind, too thick and gooey, they make so many products just like it, flora nectar and sugar daddy are made of sugar and are easy on systems like yours, mollasses is great for soil pots, as for top offs, this all depends on the strength of the nutrient solution. do you have a ppm/EC tds meter? if not, and you have been adding back and not seeing any ill effects then continue, do what works. but do it in moderation, addbacks should be 1/4 strenght of the label recommended dosage. if you regularly change your rez, like once a week then just add plain water, since it will not be too long before the plants get replenished

Yeah. No more molasses. Unless u don't have a pump then u can slide but I would still recopmmend carbo load and big bud as better hydro alternatives. As for topping off its kinda prefference. I wouldn't reccommend ntes but again its just my prefferance. My reasoning for topping off with plain phd water is (and I'm sure there will be a lot of debate about this... Hopefully it doesn't trash this thread) but MY understanding is different nutes are more readily available in different ph ranges so by topping off with water (5.6 ph) it decreases the nutrient content thus raising my ph slowly throughout the week. So by res change they will have ventured from 5.3 to 5.9 then I change the res and start over. Again it is just prefference. But I can't tell u it works astoundingly for me

It all depends on your nutes. Have a set ppm and keep it at that range. then do a total change ever so often. Personally i change out my res every 3 weeks. till then i will keep my nutes usually 1500 or so really just read my plants before they burn. i will add water and then top with nutes till i get to the set ppm. just make sure you keep water in there ....lol
