Need Good Nutes and suggestions

I've just started growing a plant and its been about 8 or 9 days and i put a miracle grow spike nutrient thing in the soil with it and the more i read the more i realize this isn't that good for it. the leaves started turning yellow so i took it out and now im just wondering what some good nutrients are and where i can find them.

That will depend on what your soil is. Does it have some ferts already in it?

no its organic soil

my guess it might be MG organic? it's a common organic sold in a lot of stores
i use it myself, but it has some quirks to it

my soil isn't mg its just some organic soil and im wondering where i can find some good nutrients for my plant
