Yes, I am using RO water since day 1. Why is it turning colors like that? Then I read that when the leaves look like there praying its a magnesium defeciency. Both bottom leaves are twisted at the tips and the news leaves are either really light green, yellow or changing some kind of color. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Ive ran into the same problem using an RO water filter system. Im 1 week into flower and 2 weeks ago I started using RO water. Sure enough, I wasnt adding anything to compensate for the calcium and mag being filtered out so now I have an obvious problem. Ive ordered some Cal-Mag and from what I hear, it should solve the problem. Maybe something you should look into as well.

No Mg deficiency (leaf chlorosis is not evident), just a shortage of N. Pure Blend Pro Grow (3-1.5-4)

As usual, another hydro vendor has his NPK values bass ackwards for a Grow food. :spew: A good food for the production of nice green foliage would be a 4-1.5-3.

I assume that Ca is one of the "72 trace minerals that all work wonders". You need to find out if it contains Ca, which it should. If the NPK and micros are not published and bonafide, recommend you stay away from the product.

Good luck,
UB

I think that many of these fertilizers are designed around the assumption that there will be some trace minerals in the water already.

CalMag also contains a small amount of nitrogen.

I believe that anybody using R.O. water should add at least 200ppm of cal-mag for any purpose other than leaching.

Well Im going to the hydro store today to pick up some cal mag and I'll see if this corrects the probem. My pant seems little for about 2 weeks doesnt it??

Yes, it is little for the reason stated. For the second time, you have a N deficiency, not Ca, reason why it is stunted and light green.

You're grasping at straws and will do more harm than good by adding something the plant may not need. Concept is called "nutrient antagonism." FYI, your food contains Ca in the form of CaCO3. Do your homework - http://organic-hydroponicsupplies.thebigtomato.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp?CS=tbt&StoreType=BtoC&Count1=311321437&Count2=228461861&CategoryID=146&Target=products.asp

This is the type of vigor you can expect when you provide plenty of N. https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/9114-spin-out-chemical-root-pruning.html

Dat's all I'm gonna say 'bout dat.

Thank You Uncle Ben for your help a couple questions. Doesnt Pure Blend Pro have enough N in it? I have seen nomorous grows on here with it and they seem to be doing great. I have followed the instructions Botanicare has given! Is it ok to foliar feed once a day with pbp to see if it improves?

What is pbp?

Yes PBP has enough N. It also has enough Ca and Mg. U just need to crank up the ppm. If u are under flouros u can be at 800, and under HID u should be at 1000 minimum, 1200 max, since they are on the smaller side I would go 800 or 1000 pending on lighting...

Thanks Phelps! I guess I'll crank up the Pure Blend Prow Grow so my ppm's read 800 and see if that helps. Thanks alot roll it up for all the help.
