need help fast ? about bad ballast? and light for my plants

my light did not come on this morning i had the hps bulb in so i change to the mh and it works.. my ballast is a sunleaves 1000w with a switch on front to go mh or hps.... so i got a new hps bulb and it don't work i think its broke on the hps side like an igniter or something but i know nothing about these how much are these to get fixed or is there something i can do?

other ? i have 2 of these in different locations one set is almost done (2-3 weeks left) and the other is just starting (10 days on 12/12) so who gets the mh until i figure something out? thanks for any help....

it's been a while but i'll give it a shot...the MH is a white light I think and the HPS has more red or maybe vice versa, anyhow, let the ladies finish with the red spectrum and the young girls can wait their turn.

I have heard of people vegging and flowering with MH before, but they do better when flowering with an HPS. So I would put the MH on the youngest plants, and the plants that are in the later stages of flowering get the HPS. Hope that helps.....

i was going to use the mh for now and start flushing my other stuff now so i can have that light in 2 weeks ...are these ballast fixable?

If you can't buy another ballast then just finish with the MH ~ it'll be fine.
