I am a grower in Southern Oregon and Ive agreed to moved here and help someone with their grow. The pay is terrible but my heart goes into the plants
When I came here his room was infested with bugs of all sorts (to the point where you couldnt even see some of the colas)
In the past year we have changed a lot of things by my suggestions and the plants are bug free, aren't burning by heat, better setuo for maxing out room, consistent yield.
Now im a No Tiller by heart but Ive learned to adapt for the plants sake.
Now with all of the critters out of the room we are able to fix certain things, but some he won't budge of...his Feed.
We by teens from a nursery that is already a month old then we transplant into 7-10 gallon smart pots using Roots organics Green Fields Soil. I finally got him to change to that soil for the nitrogen properties.
The plants get 6.5 ph water that are about 130ppms for the first two weeks. Its a hot soil. Then we swith to flower.
Two weeks of veg go by and then we switch to flower (12hr/12hr) lights. Still only water.
And then another 11 days go by to its first feed:
(FYI i dont agree qith this schedule but its whats happening)
50 Gallon Reservoir
550ppm-600ppm
125ml Bloom
100ml infinity
100ml big swell
125ml ancient amber
200ml cal mag
50ml surge
50ml hp2
We use Roots organics feed as well as their soul brand as well.
At three weeks into flower feed gets upped to:
780 PPM
180ml Bloom
150ml infinity
150ml big swell
180ml ancient amber
225ml cal mag
125ml surge
125ml hp2
At this point I can see some strains looking like a nitrogen deficiency, and possibley phosphorus deficiency.
At week 4 its obvious to me.
Now jve checked run off, since we use a feed/water/water the run off is usally low as 250ppms in the later weeks, which I think is low.
Also I know we use Soul Bloom for the most of the nitrogen and phosphorus support and maybe that is to low right off the bat and maybe add it to full strength (250ml/50 gallon reservoir). Or maybe the second water is flushing to much of the nutrients out. My PH is on point so no worries there.
He isnt budging on his regiment but maybe I can alter the way it is getting water or adding more to tye feed.
Any ideas?
(Sorry no pictures but just have to trust me on the deficiencies, I know what I am seeing)
Thanks for all the help.
Add in: None of the plants are burning just some deficienct. We are flowering 7 strains in the same room)
