Need help on CFL setup

I have a few questions on how to set up cfl's. This is my first indoor grow, i've done a couple outdoor grows. Today I went and bought 3 42 watt "lights of america" cfls. I wired up a setup in which normal light bulbs will light up just fine when I plug it in but when i screw in the cfl nothing lights up. What am I doing wrong and how have you guys successfully setup cfl lights in your grow room.

Check out how i did this with surge protectors. Bought it all at 99 cent store. After buyin all kind of lights and breaking my 65 watt cfl I decided that 35 watt is a very good sweet spot for size and power. Im gona go buy two more 35W daylight.

Id say go into different section of this site and sort by number of replies and look at grow journals and stuff. Read them all. You will learn what it takes and what people are doing to grow good bud. Cheers
