Need Help Picking a Ballast !

hello there , im looking to buy a ballast to complete my grow setup , im only wanting to use a 400 watt in my area as any more will cause heat problems but i have seen its about the same price as a 600 watt , can i run a 400 watt bulb in this ballast http://prntscr.com/5ee1le and just have the ballast switched to 400 watt or 400 watt boost ?

That doesn't sounds safe I doubt it can handle the watts I can see running a 400 in a 600 watt ballast maybe I'm no expert though

Why not just get a 600 watt ballast won't be much price difference I have the galaxy grow amp and it has a switch between 4 and 600

it has the option to run 400 watts to 400 watts boost to 600 watts to 600 watts boost so if i just put a 400 watt bulb in and run it on 400 watt or 400 watt super boost there shouldnt be a problem ? i duno confused face :S

Oh your saying running a 400 watt bulb in a 600 watt ballast? I thought you meant the other way around

I mean if it's got a switch for 400w and your using a 400w bulb I don't really see anything wrong with that
