Shade the thermometer from the light to get your actual readings. Is that an exhaust pulling from the hps room venting into the other side of the curtain?
Need help reducing grow room temp.

That is an exhaust fan but it's blowing to the outside of the enclosure. Into the crawl space right by one of my crawl space ports
