Need help to ID this insect please

So I was in my garden and saw a shit ton of these bugs living on my cucumbers. None of them are on the cannabis plants yet. Are they harmful? And if so is there a natural way to get rid of them? Maybe neem oil? Thanks

Kinda look like a squash bug but not 100% sure but maybe a place to start... if you find an entomologist that tells ya, let me know too please, always looking for an education.... I could help with the entomologist, but cant reach him until Tuesday..
 
Thanks @Mount I was thinking of taking the picture to my local agricultural center. They have university professors working there so someone there should know what the hell it is, but I will look up squash bug. And I will post in this thread when I find out what it is so watch the thread bro and thanks again.
 
OK @Mount I did look up squash bug and it led me to my answer. This is a Leptoglossus AKA Leaf footed bug. They are kind of a bitch to control but I put a call into my agricultural center, they are closed until Tuesday but hopefully they have a method to take care of these things before they move over to the ganja plants. They are very different in their nymph stage too. I thought I had these bugs and some sort of ants but it is just the nymph of the Leptoglossus. Thanks for the input brother.

Thanks @bertaluchi !!! I appreciate the insight and education!! Gotta love them AG Centers.. I used to be able to swing by my local one all the time, but now they cut the hours and days they are open.. they used to test my soil and help with insect and plant issues all the time... I used garden fabric a few times on my outdoors grows and even use it on my vegis when I hear from the local farmers it may be a bad insect season... the fabric never seemed to impact harvest at all

I am glad you survived!! Without the air strike being necessary... A lot of folks here have given me grief for my use of DE, but I find it most effective on a lot of pests and the food grade as far as I can tell is very safe and non-toxic... I use around my outdoor vegi garden and since I moved some of my growing indoors I use it as a preventive maintenance practice in my tent since I had spider mites once.

I'm glad I survived too! I am a big fan of using DE in any pest situation. As far as I can tell it has no ill effects on the plants and there is no doubt that it is effective at killing bugs. And I have used it indoors too. I had a major fungus gnat infestation and the DE killed them off within a week. I am one of those types of people who wont knock you for using something that works. A lot of people use different products that I would not use but hey, if it works for you then do your thing. And sometimes I run into a dude like you who uses the same stuff and we both get results. Don't listen to the haters. They probably wish they were having the success that we are.

Thanks... I am like you, I use what works and is safe. I have a duster brush and a hand pistol duster but never liked the wet application method. I gave up on the haters a while ago.. when I first joined, because I was new to indoor grows, I took some things to heart, but I quickly realized it wasnt worth it, plus half of them were half my age if not younger. I also realized, all the time I had into my outdoor gardening really did apply indoors with a small twist because I wasn't replying on mother nature for the light.

I am still glad I learned about the Leptoglossus, appreciate the education...
 
That is really what is so great about growing. If you want to be successful you need to keep learning and educating yourself. And those Leptoglossus need to watch out, I am now an official Leptoglossus assassin lol
