Need help with cloning!!

I've posted this in the newbie section, but I thought that I may get some better luck in here.

So basically I've tried to clone twice now with no success at all.. I've read tons of how to post, videos, books, and nothing seems to help lol. Now I come to you fellow RIU members to please please help me out with this, as it sucks not being able to start from a clone and having to start from seed. Then figure out if its female ore not =( Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! I have pictures to post but I wont be able to post them until later this week. I'll try and have the pics up by wednesday.

for ~$50 or so for both items below its almost impossible not to root the clone. Just don't kill it with to much hps/mh light.

I use hydrofarm rooting plugs ($15 for 50), olivia's cloning gel($10 2oz) and a cheap $2 dome/tray and have had a 100% success rate. I always sterilize a razor with a lighter and alcohol before making the 45 degree cut. Also, make sure your working area is clean and wash your hands.

In addition to a heat mat, dome ,and magic goo which are essential,I would recommend scraping the off first layer of skin about a 1/2 inch up from your fortyfive degree cut. Dont go crazy, just scrape it till you expose the light green. I would also recommend to split the cut end down the middle about a half inch making kind of a V shape. Then dip it in clonex. The scraping and the splitting give the clone alot of surface area to grow roots. Ever since i started doing this i have had a 100% success rate. They root way faster too. The last time i took clones one of em had a root poking out the puck in only five days. Good luck and dont give up. By definition weed will grow even if you dont want it too.

Once you have cloning "down" you will eventually find out that some strains clone ALOT easier.. Cloning itself is pretty easy, you may have a finicky strain on your hands..
