Need help with mmj card - Canada!

Hey everyone, many may not check this because it is my first post, but I really need some advice.

I have insomnia and have tried over the counter sleeping pills and several other things but they just don't work. So I started smoking a couple bongs before hitting the pillows which helps so much more than anything else.

I have a doctor's appointment coming up next week with a new doctor ( not a specialist just a general practitioner ), and I have no idea how i'm going to convince him to sign for me to get Medical. I have some anxiety issues and I'm really fucking stressing over this.

Would really appreciate any advice you guys (and gals) have to offer.

it might be kinda hard convincing him or her; the dr. I recommend doing some research on some MMJ friend doctors that may be in your area and trying some of them instead of just any old doctor. Most doctors will basically laugh you out the door when you ask for marijuana for anything. But if you do go just be polite, technical, well spoken, well educated and prepared to know exactly when you will say and should make it obvisious and that traditional medcine is not and will not cure your ailments. You are gonna have a hard time with the insomnia and anxiety as neither are Category 1... I'd look for a doc in your area that "specializes" in medicinal marijuana. If you are located in BC by chance drop me a PM and I'll give you a couple of numbers.

You are going to have a hard time getting it done and in my opinion it's just not worth it. My best friend has his card and it took him 30 months to get it. He has a history of back pain. He's had it for 6 months and is applying right now because it takes forever if you do get one and to renew takes a long time. Why get one, so you can smoke in your home at night?? and grow a few plants?? I just don't get it, why. If your in Canada and grow a few plants and smoke some, no-one is going to bother you. I have been smoking and growing for 40 years and have never had a big problem with the cops. By the way Health Canada does share info with the cops, you can find that on their site so if you let your license expire the cops can bust you and they will. Peterborough had 2 med grows busted because of expired licenses people were waiting for. If your in Ontario I can hook you up with a med-pot advocate.

Matti - what are mmj friend doctors? In canada we don't have mmj clinic type businesses like in the states, an actual doctor needs to sign your forms for Health Canada.

Woodsman - What is a med pot advocate (sounds like stupid question but don't know how one would help me?)

I'll get you a number for the advocate. Their a person who usualy has their card and works with a Doctor that is receptive to using MJ for treatment. But again you need to do your homework, review the gov. web site and make sure you even have a chance to get it. My feeling is not a chance but I'm not the expert. I should have some info for you tonight on a contact.

Sorry dude was in the states for the weekend for Thanksgiving. I have no idea where Colehill is. I know it may be hard to do but i'm pretty ambitious and won't stop 'till I can get this shit over with, or atleast get the process started. I can't deal with the paranoia anymore.
