Need help with Mulch.

When exactly do I add the layer of mulch to my soil? Do I add it directly after I finish potting the soil and plant my seedlings in it? Or do I wait until the plant has grown a few inches and THEN add a layer of mulch!

Did you plant directly into a large container? If so, I would wait until after the seed sprouts, and you get the first true set of leaves, to know how much room you have on the stem height.

I start in a small container and transplant up when the plant is outgrowing the container, then add mulch.
