Need help with my first set up!!!!!!!!!

Im debating whether to grow using soil or aerogarden. its my first grow so what do u recommend. Also i cant make up my mind what strain to grow it seems like there are a shitload of good strains. I want high yeild with a short plant. do u guys have any strains that u would recommend? i had NYC diesel in mind. ut what do u guys recommend?

I reccomend soil for your first grow. Its way easier. Any indica dominate plant would be good for ya.

Soil is always a great starting point, but If I could go back and do my first grow again, I would do them in Hempy buckets. They grow SOOOOO much more vigorously and flushing is easy. Check out the threads on this site for Hempy Buckets, they are easy and awesome.

i have 3 nyc diesel growing now. they currently are short fat little bushy plants that just look to be thriving in their promix. they have a crazy smell that i can't really pin-point, but it does seem to be on the verge of red grapefruit. and they are only 10" tall and still vegging out. can't wait to see how potent the smell gets here in a few weeks when they are fully flowering... its gonna be some potent stuff i promise.

i am a big fan of nyc diesel so far. i will start a flowering grow journal as soon as i do it too so keep an eye out

i just took clones from the very bottom of each of my nycd. 12 clones : 4 from each i had. it didn't really seem to effect the size of the plant which is good. snippin the bottom branches is a good thing anyways just to keep air and sun hitting the best nugs

go with soil way easyer for first grow

NO!!!! That's the OPPOSITE of true. Miracle Grow soil is complete garbage, and their nutrients are even worse. For a good soil, straight out of the bag, go with FoxFarms Ocean Forrest. It's organic-based and has earthworm castings and bat guano mixed in. It doesn't need any nutrients added for the first 2-3 weeks of use, and you'll find that it is widely used by experienced soil growers and has a great reputation amongst the community here.

For nutrients, I suggesting sticking with the FoxFarms line. Get the liquid concentrate tri-pack which includes GrowBig, BigBloom, and TigerBloom. The tri-pack only costs under $40, and at least for your first grow, you won't need anything else. Once you've gone through your first grow and have experienced the process first-hand, there are other nutrients and supplements that you may wish to add and experiment with, but for your first time, the tri-pack is all you'll need. But seriously, stay away from Miracle Grow products or any other soils and nutrients that you can find at your local Home Depot or Lowes. They're just not suitable for growing Cannabis.
