Need input from you vetran growers

I'm running a single 400w with top drip recirculation and 25gal res using GH flora series. I just started week 4 yesterday 5/1/13 and went from 3tsp/gal grow 2tsp/gal micro 1tsp/gal bloom to 2-2-2 for trasistion to bloom. I need to know if I need to change the light to the hps and 12-12 now as well or do I wait until the next water change? Also once I do switch to 12-12 and hps do I change the watering timer too? Right now I have it set for 20min every 2hrs from 6am to 12 midnight. All help is greatly appreciated.

Hey man, when you want to go into flower from veg, that's the time to change the lights to 12-12. The shorted light cycle is the only thing that causes the plants to go into flower.
As for watering, I recently tried 15 min on then 15 off, but found that the pumps coiuldn't handle the on off cycles so now I've gone to pumps on continuiously.

You must have had some really bad pumps, because i use ecoplus which are about the cheapest you can get and they have been running 1min on 5 min off for almost four years and never a failure. And i have 8 of them.

I use ecoplus as well and run both cont. and cycled never a problem. Sorry I have no ideal what your pump cycles would be as I run a recirc system and flood and drain as well (sometimes).
