i germ the same way but put it in a dark place thats kinda warm, as per the tap root, you plants will know what to it doesnt seem to matter, i usually put them in w/o bothering with it and they always pop. just dont touch the roots.

yes it does, the seed is geneticaly programed to make a loopin the tap root to drag the seed hull off. Planting the wrong way will delay sprouting and weaken the seedling.

oh yeah? so in the wild when it gets pollinated and the seeds eventually drop and begin a new life next seaon somehow they all miraculously drop tap down? im just saying ive never had a problem popping for that reason, if they germ they pop up...those seeds in that picture look like they are were all planted down.

well when we're talkin money trees here, we want to give them every advantage they can get. It could make the difference between survival or death of a weaker seedling than could have gone on to become another new super strain.
Go ahead and be a tough love father with yer seeds though I don't care.

ive always soaked it in water in a dark spot for about 48 hours till the tap root comes out never done the paper towel way
well i did once and got bad results so i stick to the dropping it in a shot glass of water

and dont be afraid to experiment -
