Need opinions and advice on a closet setup!!!

So I think that I'm finally ready to start my first grow soon.. I was thinking about trying out a closet grow seeing that I had an idea for mine.. Let me know what you guys think and let me know if you think it can work or any advice to make it better..

The green section would be used for new seeds and clones.. Id probably mount two florescent tube lights at the top

The red section would be the veg area.. Im not sure what lights to use here because ive heard better things about blue spectrum lighting but then again I could easily use the CFLs for this too..

The yellow would be for fruiting.. I was thinking about the 400 hps light here but with such a small space Id worry about the temperature going up and not being able to ventilate air..

Here's the dimensions of the spaces.. (l x w x h)
Green: 24in x 15.5in x 10in.
Red: 24in x 15.5 x 17in.
Yellow: 24in x 15.5in x 30 in.

Also if these does seem practical for a small grow what would you recommend as to how many plants could I grow at a time, also should I go hydroponics or soil.. keep in mind this will be my first grow. So lets keep the flaming to a minimum please haha.. Thanks for any help..

If this is your first grow i would contemplate just running one room for now rather than having multiples.

Get your technique sorted and make sure you care for them then look to adapt new areas.

You could run a 400w in that area as long as you had it connected in a cooltube and inline fan from a cold air source and exhausting away from the room where the grow is.

You could do Hydro. Look into Rubbermaid DWC as a possibility.

If you are wanting to do the whole thing straight out then i would look to have some small watt 6500k spectrum CFLs in your Clone/Seed area.

Then have a higher watt CFL in your Veg room. Something like a 200w ECO CFL 6500k blue spectrum.

Then run the 400w in a cooltube with a decent inline fan to keep the temps down. If you wanted to make sure of temps you should have a cold air source for the cooltube and exhaust the ducting away from the room where the grow is located.

Then you would need to make sure of air exchanges in all of those areas too. If temps are good when setup you could use some high rated CFM PC fans.
