I have just built this aeroponic setup for my clones. My question is this:

Who would perfer to have an alternate resivior, (I have a 5 gallon bucket i am not using that has a top).

Or who of you would have the rubbermaid container as the resivior. Its only like a 36 liter contain... I am opting for the 5 gallon buck resivior...

ANyone have some input for me please And fast!!!

+REP for good replies.

If all you're using those containers for is a cloning machine you ought to be ok. Do NOT use clear ones (or spray paint the ones you have) for your grow. NO light on the roots!

Just put your submersible pump right in the tub and connect it to your manifold.

Look at the Papaya link attached to my signature and you'll see how well those tubs work.

I switched from tubs to PVC and here's the link for that too.

Ya, I have seen your DIY post. Very clean job, I am impressed, but that doesn't help me out with my rubbermaids. I wanted to use this for growing clones but I think I need to keep high humidity with a dome over it or something? Can I still grow clones with this?

as i said in your other thread,

sure you can.

nothing like trial and error.

always try something...you will sometimes get your own questions answered faster just by trial and error

You initially asked about reservoirs which I answered.

There are many store bought cloners without domes, but the ones with domes always work better. It keeps the moisture in and around the leaves because the stem on a fresh cutting isn't usually big enough to absorb all the water the leaves need. I have a dome on mine and I still spray the leaves with water twice a day just to help them out. I'm sure you can make some kind of a dome for that but just make sure it has a few ventilation holes in it.
