Need Some Carbon Scrubber INFO

Hey heres a pic of what I got going for exhaust. Is there a simple way to cut the 4'' dryer vent Be4 it connects to the exhaust fan, and install a scrubber. Most of the scrubbers I have seen only have 1 side with a 4'' connection. (almost like they dead end your exhaust run)

Im trying to get the stink handled be4 its a concern. IF I do get a scrubber to work with that 4'' line, do i have to run the exhaust 24/7 for it to be effective
