Need some help asap with figuring out exhust.

Hi guys recently purchased a new home and now have been tinkering with setting up a new room. I was wondering if any 1 has tried to exhust there room by running duct work that would split into my furnace exhust and go up and out of the top of my house. I find that I'll be able to hide odor by exhausting up out if roof. Anyone have any opinions on this.

Do not tie your room exhaust system into your furnace exhaust.
I will be hard to explain to your service tech if you have an emergency, and it does happen.

is it a masonry chimney?

If it is a newer home it probably exhaust thru 2 inch PVC
No you can't tap into that line it will change pressure on the furnace and cause failure
Venting out the roof doesn't stop odor either only a filter does that

Ok will just go out dryer vent then. Just was hoping to be able to go out of roof not side of house
