Need some help with my Cannon Rebel XT

Sup RIU folks!

So I have a Cannon Rebel XT SLR Camera and in all honesty I dont really know how to use an SLR camera too well. I want to take pics when my HPS is on without screwing the pics up so bad. I know it has something to do with changing white balance settings and using the tungston white balance but I am having trouble with it. Anyone out there able to assist me with this at all?

Taking pictures with a HPS running?

It's pretty easy, just wait 12 hours for the HPS to turn off.

Now turn on the camera, turn your flash on, and take all photos necessary!



No but seriously, your not going to get amazing pictures under high intensity discharge lights like high pressure sodium. All the details/other light levels get bleached out.

Lol yeah i know that trick but lights go off at 7am and by the time i wake up they are in their resting phase and i hate the pics that i get, guess it would work if i just stay up all night on pic taking nights :P

Thanks again CN for helping, I got it to work much better then it was, and I can keep messing with it when I get a better sheet to white balance check against.

Just be certain to defeat the exif info on your pics. Not sure how exactly, but google it. It'll be worth your while. cn
