Need some help

Hey guys. Haven’t been around here in a long while to post anything but am always creeping others posts for ideas and just always learning. Anyways I’m in the middle of a grow using the undercurrent system (rdwc) going to harvest in about a month or so and I’ve already started my next batch. I took cuts and put them in 1.5” Rockwool then moved them to 4” inch cubes when they rooted. Now I’m limited on space and don’t have room for a full set of buckets in veg. So my question is what can I do with these Rockwool cubes in the meantime. Right now I have them in a small flood table surrounded with hydroton but they are getting big and I’m getting worried about the roots getting all bunched up and being screwed come a month from now.

Now with that being said I don’t care to finish veg in these cubes I just need to keep them going until I can harvest the round in my undercurrent so basically a semi perpetual grow. Sorry for the long winded post just reaching out for some ideas. Thanks fellas

Let me add one more thing. My undercurrent system uses 5.5 inch net pots and my thought was I’d put them in net pots right now and surround them with hydroton so when ready I could just take the net pots and put them straight into my system. But what can I keep them in to let the roots grow and not get all tangled up

Thanks for sharing that brother. I guess that’s my fear. I’m wondering what other rdwc guys are doing if they don’t have room for 2 setups and want to at least run semi perpetual. Probably not what I’m doing lol.

I've always grow in 4x4 rockwool only (i'll never go back to soil). I've had my roots air pruned before and happy with the yield.

Currently, my set-up is modified hydro, where I'm still using 4x4 in a 1 gallon fabric pot filled with hydroton. Like you, I want to control my root growth due to limited space. I actually like the guy set-up in that youtube video.

For sure, that’s a sweet setup. Wish I had room like that to grow. I’m glad you mentioned your set-up because I’m thinking maybe I can put my net pots in a 1 gallon pot like yours and when it comes time to move them the roots shouldn’t get damaged at all. Anyways thanks a lot for the info and quick responses I really do appreciate it.
