Need some questions answerd about PH, please help me!

I have been growing my plants for 1 month and i have just finally got my ph tester!

Well, i have been using distilled or reverse osmosis water for my bubbleponics system.

Ok, according to this ph tester, my ph level in my resivior is 4.88.

My plants are very green and looked to be very healthy.I have been using the nutrients that came with the system.

What EFFECTS will this have on my plants when i began to flower?

WHAT does a low PH mean?

When the ph is low are my plants at risk of any thing?

Does any one have any advice?

It means your water is alkaline. If they really ARE looking fine, then I wouldn't worry about it. If you're concerned bring it up to around the mid 5's or 5.8.

6.4 is getting a little high. I'd keep it around 6, but that's just me. A fluctuation of a few points isn't going to matter a whole lot.

Now when i change my resivior and make the ph of the water from 4.88 to 5.88 w(adjusting the ph OUTSIDE of the tank than putting it back in once adjusted)? will this hurt or kill my plants? Will this stunt the growth?

What are the effects of a low ph?

a pH of 7 is neutral, a higher pH is considered basic or alkaline. A pH below 7 is considered acidic. Hydroponic system nutrient pH's are run slghtly acidic at about 5.4 for DWC and 5.6 for traditional hydro and low pressure aero. High pressure aero is usually around 5.4

No it will be better as at the lower pH all nutrients are not as available so nutrient uptake is out of balance. 5.6 is about the balance point where hydroponic nutrients are most easily uptakeable by the plant roots. If you go much higher some nutrients are not taken up well and if you go much lower some are not taken up as well. Plus at higher or lower pH's you have to start worrying about what your calcium and calcium carbonates are doing as they can cause nutrient lockups.

NO!!! You do NOT want to go above 5.8 in a hydro system. or below 5.3 if at all possible.... It's best to keep your pH between those two numbers. (5.3 and 5.8 )

It won't kill your plants, but it's better to raise your pH levels gradually. Try to go from 4.88 to about 5.4 for now.
