I'm wondering if anyone would be able to tell me how much cooling and heating I need for a hypothetical grow. In a barn where winters are cold and summers are hot what would it take to heat/cool a 40x40x? barn? Barn would be mostly insulated minus the roof. I believe I can construct up to 12ft high ceilings.
Let's say I'm doing 32 flowering plants in a perpetual cycle. I'm thinking i'll need 15 1000w hps lights. Would I be better off with air cooled or open lights? Do I need the entirety of the space or should I build a smaller flower room within the building? Should I mount ballasts on the inside or out? How much heating/cooling would I need?
I was thinking a 5 ton mini split but I'm not sure if it's overkill or not enough. I also have seen some that have dual blowers. I was also planning to run a co2 burner in a sealed room with a couple intake air vents and outtake air blowers.
Can someone help me wrap my head around this for a good head start?
