Net cups

Howdy friends.... I'm fixing to upgrade from 5 gallon bubble buckets to 1-30 gallon tote. I'm wondering if 4"net pots would be sufficient or should I get 6"??
 
These girls are in 3" starter pots with slots cut in them. pic 3 is in a 4" pot done the same way. When done properly net pot size is almost a non factor.
