net pot size

i like to use small net pots but after examining my roots i found this ( see photo )

at this point id the roots kept growing do you think it would start to kill the plant because its cutting though the root

No. I cut my roots just like my foliage. They can take it. Usually, if the base is too big it'll just blow out the net cup. I use 2" cups, all I'll ever use.

i prefer them small but i am also finding they fall though the bucket lid if the plant isnt supported in a scrog net before its big

i am now thinking of going to a bigger net pot but thought id see what other prefer using 1st

I've never had one go through the lid... small lip on the cup?

Yea, you definitely have to tie them up, but for roots in the water that much quicker, it's a fair trade in my opinion. Even with a 6", anything yield worthy usually needs support too.

Try the bigger cups, see if it makes a difference for you.
