-New 1st time grow in small growbox-

Hey, thanks for checking out my grow, it's my 1st time attempting to grow anything, so any tips and help you can give me would be great. I germinated one seed of some bagseed i got from a friend, i planted it in the soil on November 1st.

The Grow Box - i'll start off by saying that i have a pretty ghetto growbox, it's made out of a dog cage, put cardboard all around it, and sealed it up tight with clear tape. I had bought about 40$ worth of equipment, like lights, adapters, car reflector and some bottles/timer. I lined the inside with computer paper 1st, then i took what i had from the car reflector(what was left at least) and put it everywhere i could. Cut 2 holes for fans(see pic) and a small one to fit in the power strip. it keeps at 76-80 degrees with 2 24watt cfl's and 1 26 watt. Runs almost completely silent too!

i bought some Organic miracle grow soil and filled 3 pots, i know miracle grow is bad, but that's all fucking ace hardware had.

After i germinated the seed i put in about a 1/2 inch to and inch deep into the soil, watered and left it. now on November 3rd here are the results.

Tips, comments, sub please, i'ma need your help!CIMG3897.jpgCIMG3895.jpg

why everyone use a soil that they know is bad?
a good soil is so much easier to handle. why would you want to have troubles that badly on your first run?

It looks lke it should and you grow box should work for 2-3 weeks but I wouldn't bother flowering there, especially not with those lights. the intensity is way too low.
If you want to run CFLs get 45W and higher.

haha well its my 1st grow to mine are 18 days old haha about 4 inches im using MG organic choice 3 plants haha and there bag seeds under 4 23 watt soft whites and 4 23 watt daylight cfls so if i run into any snags ill keep you informed on what and how to fix in case you run into same or similar problems

cover the sides of the pot to keep light from getting to your roots. And you get more light from the sides of CFLs than the tops

I agree with the fonz...that box wont get you too far. Start planning on what you are going to do as she gets bigger.

Um no you dont need big 45w cfls to flower. There are LOTSSSS of people who flower with multiple 20-26w cfls. Also https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/373397-test-progress-miracle-grow-soil.html

micro, i did a test about that light and roots thing.
in a hempy bucket made of plastic bottle with coco and perlite I grew basil. It took 4 months until I could spot algea. I grew in the same method for a year with no ill effects.

I got 4 plants in transparent blue water bottles going strong with NO ill effects AT ALL.

a CFL gives off way less light than my 400W HID or the sun in israel.

there are LOTSSSS of people failing to finish a plant with 20-26w cfls.
there are almost NO people getting anything decent from 20-26w cfls.

45w cfls are way more effective than 45w worth of cfl in 20-26w cfls. candlefoot and lumen wise.

I never tried miracle grow or fox farm products. The OP said he knows its crap.
