new ac keeps my hot ass closet nice and cool

So I was having some real heat issues in my closet. Temps in there were never below 80 untill the lights went off. Yesterday, my temps hit 100! Two of the leaves were showing heat stress more and more by the hour, but the rest of the plant seemed fine, not criispy orbrown at all. Finally, I found a room ac(they're a pain to find around here since winter's coming up) after some good advice from some folks on this site and my temps are at 78 and falling, fast. Thanks guys, u know who u are :peace:

I believe it's actually made to put in a window, but it can go either way. My hps was causing some bad temps to pop up on my thermometer. It's a Zenith 5000btu ac, only cost $80

thats what swim uses too! Swim saw his on sale for 74.99 last year and has been running it every day for a year plus, no probs. Just be sure the drain has a place to go that isn't in your floor.

yeah its still hot out here too. my temps were hittin 90 before i got a window fan and an evaporative cooler. stays down around 75 now :bigjoint:

Mine topped out at 79 today. i've only had this thing a few hours and my plants are thankin me already, sweet!

um yeah thats pretty bad lol. you want it up around 50% - 60%. go out and get a humidifier, i got one for 30 bucks. will raise the humidity and also lower the temp even more.

well with a higher humidity the air is able to hold more water thus lowering the temperature and keeping a good amount of moisture in the air to help your plant grow nice and healthy. you dont necessarily have to have the humidity that high but it helps and your plants will be healthier and not dry out as quickly...

They do dry out pretty quickly. Makes sense that it would help the temps in there with the moisture in the air. ya know, I started 2 plants about 3 weeks ago, and all I had, was my pots, some soil, seeds and 8 cfls.... Since then, I've added a 400w hps, an extra fan, AC unit, indoor digital thermometer with humidity, and now I'll add to the list a humidifyer. thanks for the input! Is there any certain kind of humidifyer to get or will any do fine?

nah anyone will do fine im sure. just make sure its a humidifer and not a dehumidifier haha. tell me about it man i started out with just about the same. $1000+ later and i have a crazy good setup now haha. heres the humidifier i bought...

Sweet, im headin to wally world to get a humidifyer to add to my collection. Hopefully this'll tide me over for this grow.... unless i decide to go co2 as well. i got some super sick seeds that are the next in line assuming all else goes well with this grow.

haha good shit. what you got growin now? and whats next? i was lookin into using co2 also. i ended up getting these tablets that you just drop in water and they give off co2. theyre called excellofizz you should look into them...

Not sure whati got growin now, just a bagseed from some bomb cron we get. Next in line is a locally grown (or so I hear) stuff called Harry The 8th? Not sure about the name, but that's what the guy called it. Anyway it was off the hook! I'd like to get the whole co2 system setup, with ppm counter, tanks and everything. But thats a big hit to the old wallet there. Do those tabs work? I saw somethin on the FAQ with sugar, water and yeast. I guess u shake it up in a bottle with a hole in the lid and the reaction inside makes co2. Ever tried that?
