It is the latest in a series of moves by the attorney general to narrow the scope and application of the law, approved by Michigan voters in 2008. Schuette, then a recently-retired state appeals court judge, led the campaign in opposition to the initiative.

Has anyone else read the papers from the "Clearing the Air: Implementing and Enforcing Michigan's Medical Marijuana Law." meetings? I'd post them up, but I'm stuck on my phone and they're PDF files don't know how/can't. They include the AG's recommended changes to the MMMA and a nuisance complaint template. Changes would include, having a card under the act constitute implied consent to warrant less adminastrative inspections by the department, refusal would equal card revocation, after card approval registered individuals go into MSP list for entry into the law enforcement information network, 15 pages long, pretty sure they're looking to push to take away drivers liscense next. Up coming dates Saginaw horizons conference center Nov.29, Traverse City Nov.30 Park place hotel, with pressentations from the ag, LARA, MSP, prosecuting attorneys association of Michigan, experts in municipal law, and last but, not least medical experts.
