Dont think it does anything benificial for the plant but beneficial for keeping your resevoir clean. I used to spend lots of money on h202 and read some things on using bleach instead of h202. side by side tests showed that the bleach did a better job at keeping shit clean. I use 1/2 ml of clorox bleach per gallon of water/nutrient solution and have had several successful runs with the bleach. And allot cheaper than buying a gallon of h202.

The bleaching process has been known for millennia,[1] but the chemicals currently used for bleaching resulted from the work of several 18th century scientists. Chlorine is the basis for the most commonly used bleaches, for example, the solution of sodium hypochlorite, which is so ubiquitous that most simply call it "bleach", and calcium hypochlorite, the major compound in "bleaching powder". Oxidizing bleaching agents that do not contain chlorine most often are based on peroxides, such ashydrogen peroxide, sodium percarbonate andsodium perborate. While most bleaches are oxidizing agents, some are reducing agentssuch as sodium dithionite and sodium borohydride.

will it cause this?
something is very wrong i am feeding the flowers half strength lucas. 1/4 for the vegg. i was feeding full strength for the flowers 8,16 for a few weeks but the tips started pointing down. so i ran just PH adjusted water for a week. then this.

the vegg. the 2 in the back are clones of my bc god bud and the one in front is my new strawberry cough from a seed. they started with just ph adjusted water for a week then water with 1 drop of super thrive for week, then the 1/4 lucas then things started getting bad so back to just plain for a week then back to 1/4 strength now this.

none of them ever looked great

i was buying distilled water

then i got a zero water pitcher but that was a pain

now i have a brita on the tap deal

i can clearly see the zero pitcher left the water at 4-6 ppm and with the new on the tap deal it is 100-110ppm

the water starts a about 300 ppm
I use tap water and my plants do fine. Usually starts at 300 - 360 ppm (some of it is residual nutes in the rez though. Check out my thread if you want).

Tap water FTW:

And I like the bleach idea. I have been using H2O2. 1/2ml / gallon. Is that in a recirculating setup @xwant2LeaRNx

Yea man its getting too hot you dont want your res water to go above 70 and you dont want your room temp to go above 85 with out co2 injection.

Maybe a small 4000 btu portable a\c in there for the summer. I run a 12000 btu in my room with 4 1000's and my tents stay at about 78 with lights on my resevoirs stay outside the tent and solution temp stays at about 65 to 70. No chiller

When your in hydro you should never give them just water, I'm suprised the aren't completely yellow from a week a straight h20, that was probably the issue.
