New from Southern Illinois

New member. 50 year smoker. New grower. I started out with 4 Bruce Banners and a Auto Northern Lights. About 6 weeks into it from putting seeds in the ground. Turns out I am getting into it. Allows me to be creative with different techniques. Kinda like the first time I golfed, I looked like a pro, as far as my outfit and clubs. Didn't have a clue. I'm having better luck at this than I did my initial trips onto a golf course.

New member here as well. I grew up in Southern Illinois and I'm also a 50 year (or so) toker. So hi from a fellow Saluki.

I'm in Missouri now and I've dabbed in growing in the past. Nothing serious, the best I ever did was a nice sea of green deck grow a few years back and a few small micro grows in an Aerogarden. It's not possible for me to grow outside where I'm at now so I'm about to dive in with my first indoor grow. I have a Mars tent kit and some autos coming. Hope I don't screw it up, heh.

Welcome also from Southern Illinois Go Dawgs. Been growing for 38 years grew up in Cali was real close with David Watson/Romulan Joe and was present when sacred seed was raided which led to several arrests and DW relocating to Holland and was a big part of the development of feminized seeds. In 88 we were awarded cultivators choice award for skunk #1. Back in the early days we were selling seeds for 2 bucks. We’ve all moved on some of us are no longer alive but the memories and the great things we accomplished are still being practiced today. If you ever need any guidance I’m here for you brother.

Good to meet you as well. I was in Cali from 94 - 96 and again from 2010 - 2012. It seems like work is more abundant here. One of the reasons that keep me here. Unfortunately, high taxes are pushing me away once again. Trying to find a way to go further north.

Spent the first half of my life in and around the metro St. Louis area, Waterloo, Columbia mainly. Did spend some summers down around Marion/Carbondale back in the mid 80's, painted some dorms at SIU one summer for cash and good times. I haven't been back to the area in decades now, life sent me another way.
