Not knowing for certain. But i would change them into some type of grow medium. Not in a paper towel for the rest of her life. As for lighting, yes it should be on. 24/0 or 20/4 and maybe at week 2 maybe switch to 18/6 Or just start off at 18/6 because i believe and have read that root structure will grow when the lights are out.

As for the pro 100. Not sure. But i know on the pro 200 you can click a button and it changes what type of grow you are doing, tomatoes, herbs, salad greens. Also if you hold down the select button on one of the choices it will stay on for a longer time. Something to that effect.

what the hell did you put in there, paper towels?
You need to be very careful using anything that isn't designed for growing plants/seeds, as it can hold bacteria and other crap, and kill your grow down the line...
not to mention any particle flakes/chunks that may come off it

i would get rid of the papertowell quick. I tried using papertowel around a clone to help the sponge stay tighter, days later the papertowell was brown n gooey and peices floating all over the res. You can use any dish sponge will work fine. Good luck
