new grow feedback needed

hi guys
my plant is 16 days old and i have a few questions , feedback is really appreciated



1- should i add more soil on top of the pot soil is starting to get lower after giving it water
2- at this age what is the average time for giving it water ( should i use a moisture meter ) ( from the pics does it show )
3- i am starting to notice something going out from the stem that is not leaves , i think it is the start of sex determination . ( is it this fast - 16 days) ??
4- sometimes i notice that the plant is droopy like in the first pic, is this normal or a sign of something .

5- from my seedling i noticed that one of them grew with the shell on it , should i remove the shell ??

1) You can add more dirt if you like, I would just wait until you transplant next to top off.
2) water when the pot feels light. No avg. watering time, function of your plant uptake, humidity level, amount of air you have circulating on pots, soil quality.
3) not sex, those are new growth shoots.
4) slight droop from overwatering, severe droop when wilted.
5) Best to let the plant kick the seed shell itself. You can put a drop of water on the shell every couple hours to help soften it. Taking it off is risky and can kill the plant.

That other growth at the nodes, which aren't new branches or pre-flowers are called stipules.
