New grow

Hi im about to start a grow of autoflowering pineapple chunk, i want to grow 3 plants, im going to use a 400w Halogen lamp but im wondering if ill need 2. Also as its my first time do you think i really need to use fertiliser, Im going to buy pre mixed soil so im not sure its essential. Also i plan to do this grow in my loft is there anything i need to be extra careful with in these conditions?

what about a 400w hps?

Get an organic soil mix. Steer clear of Miracle Grow. I use Fox Farm Ocean Forest and it is my first grow. Haven't added anything and it is 24 days vegged, just flipped to 12/12 yesterday. I didn't need nutes for the first 3 weeks but I am still going to need to add nutes if I vegged longer and when I start flowering. You won't have everything you need just with soil and water unless you had a soil mix with everything in it. Usually recipes like that go to more experienced growers.

If you're growing in your loft the only real concerns are is people are living with you or in the same building as you and whether the stench will be a problem. Either way you should contain the smell with odor control. Every grow box needs a carbon filter.
