Hey there, new to this site and looking for some answers to my questions.

1. can you add to much perlite? i just started 3 seeds and i added different amounts of perlite to the 3 cups of soil,
the one with the most looks like it might have to much. i eyeballed it when i added the perlite so i don't know the amount i added.

2. will perlite change the ph of the soil?

3. what are some good nutrients or food to get for my plants

hope someone can help me out thanks:weed:

(1) too much perlite will obstruct root growth by making the roots grow around the stones(slow growth).
(mix 60% soil and 40% perlite).

(2) perlite will change the ph very slightly(not to worry about).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perlite

(3) nutes all depend on your soil and availability to get them.
(i only use 1 type of nutes for vegging and a mix of two different nutes for the flowering stage).

Hell ya can grow in just perlite if ya want.Seen it done in hempy buckets.I use one bag perlite to one bag of foxfarm ocean forest and the girls seem to like it.For nutes I run all foxfarm soil nutes. They seem to like that too :weed:

you can use perlite straight through the grow. i've started seed in a cup of perlite, then you only have to transfer when it out grows the cup

I did a grow in 100% perlite and it was freaking awesome. Perlite is an awesome medium.

Thats the least of your worries. P'lite will add more benefit to your soil by way of drainage and available air to the roots.

3. what are some good nutrients or food to get for my plants
