New grower needs help

Okay guys, I'm new to this, very new. I've read some guides on here but I need some help. I plan on growing just one plant to start to see how I do, I know I've got a good amount of seeds so hopefully I'll get a female. But what I want to know is what should I do with just one plant? I don't need a big grow op, but I'd like to know what to do. Sorry for being so nooby

You will be quite disappointed if that one plant turns out male after all that time.

What supplies and equipment do you have?

Get some soil, and some CFL's (compact fluorescent lights), and maybe some cheap nutrients. Try to get the color spectrum of 6500k(kelvin) for vegetative growth, and 2700k for flowering. Then you could make sure you have adequate ventilation in the area you intend on growing in.

Yes, ventilation is also a key factor because the heat can kill your plant. Using an exhaust fan to create a negative pressure is the best thing to push out hot air and pull in fresh air.

Also, you should plant several seeds so you have a better chance for a female. I think once they are at their 4th node you can try to clone and sex them so you dont waste all your efforts on a bunch of males.

But to be honest, your first grow will probably just be a learning experience where you slowly build up the knowledge to grow. But still, research as much as you can to increase your chances for a successful grow.

Learn about methods of training: LST, SOG, SCROG
The stages of growth; their light spectrum and light cycles and their fertilization requirements: Vegging, Flowering.

This is just a start. There's a lot more to this growing thing and you'll always learn more.
