if your not using 6500 K bulbs (Daylight) I strongly recomend those, and your going to need a lot more eventually. WITH REFLECTORS. I see so many cfl grows without reflectors, 80 % of the light won't even radiat onto the plant without one.

growbox5.jpggrowbox4.jpggrowbox2.jpggrowbox3.jpggrowbox6.jpggrowbox1.jpggrowboxtemp.jpgthese plants are about 18 days old, i burnt them with fertilizer about a week ago so i think that stunted them a little bit but i flushed them real good a couple days ago and they seem to be doing alot better. noticeable growth everyday. im not sure if the lights are 2700k or 6500k does not say anywhere on bulb. ( i am now using 2 30w bulbs, one 2500k and one 3500k. i know i still need more light but im on a budget and was thinking maybe those 2 lights would work for veg then ill add a coulpe more of the 2500k's for flowering) comments, advice, tips are all very much appreciated.

Thanks for the comment man. I have reflectors but im not using them now cuz my box is soo small and they just get in the way when im getting in and out of the box. Do you think i could get away without using them since its such a small space??

You need at least 1 bulb per plant at least 18w 6500K cfl's .The 6500K cfls are recomended it mimics daylight and aren't as hot at the 2700K bulbs and you can put the bulbs closer to the plants. Those 2700K bulbs might have added to the leaf burn because of there heat. Don't use fert until they are at least 4" tall with a FEW BRANCHES NOT LEAVES. The plants in my avatar are 2 weeks old since they broke the soil and I'm still not using fert. What potting soil did you use ?

Thanks for the reply. yea i have one plant under each light now. i coudnt find any 6500k at the store so i got a 3500k. soil is just regular potting soil with no ferts or anything added. i added styrofoam for better airation and about 1in. of lava rocks in bottom of pots, it drains very well.

That's good :) the 3500K are way better then 2700K just eventually if you find them get the 6500K . Idk where you live but I know they got the lights at home depot wallmart and lowes. Just let your plants get bigger before you add fert. Good luck :)

mms_picture[2].jpgmms_picture.jpgmms_picture[1].jpgmms_picture[3].jpgOk i just went to k mart an picked up a 23w 5000k cfl(the biggest they had) and replaced the 27w 2500k with that, so i now have one 30w 3500k and one 23w 5000k in my grow box. the plants, as you can see, are small but i think thats just because there bagseed an probly some shitty strain, and i was also using the wrong lights for the first couple weeks. Im not trying to grow chronic my first grow, my main goal is just to get a grow box up and running an able to sustain a couple plants, which it seems to be doing thusfar. My next grow im gonna geet some quality feminized seeds. P.S. those plants look wierd cuz i started LSTing them to early i think so thats why there pulled over an the leaves are growing wierd, im just gonna let them go till i start flowering i think then start lst.

I got a new 22w 6500k tube fl. and am still using the 23w 5000k cfl, plants seem to doing alot better now that i got the right lights(i was using 2 27w 2700k cfl's for the first 2weeks untill i was told that was wrong)i guess thats how you learn lol. and ive also been using these humidity domes i made cuz humidity stays between 30 and 40% which i think is pretty low. I take the domes of a couple times a day to give them some fresh air. I also gave them 1/4 strength M.G. 2 days ago and they seem to love it.Let me know what you guys think. Any feedback is appreciated.

Does anybody know of a way to increase humidity in a grow box without having to buy a humidifier? Im using humidity domes i made out of two liter bottles for the moment and it seems to help but i think this is just a temporary fix. Humidity stays between 25 and 30%, any suggestions or advice is appreciated.
