ok, i have a 37" long by 30" wide by 6foot tall cab.
400watt halide.....exhaust is out of the top and intakes are 90 elbows painted black.....coming in on the bottom.

I had 6 plants in there and my temps stayed at 78 degrees most of the day........i even added a 150 hps light in the corner and still had pretty stable temps between 75-80 degrees F. my problem is NOW i have 3-confirmed females in there alone and my temps are raising into temps of 86degrees F~! wtf? is going on?

Peace

I have a similar problem in my cab, in my situation Ive noticed that there should be a constant supply of cooler air & air flow within the room that the cab is located in. If you have a portable or fixed air conditioner then use it within that room, point it in the direction of the intake vent if possible that will decrease the temp in your cab.

its too cold to run air conditioning...with temps the way they are i should not need to worry about intake temps....with window open i am getting cool air into the cab.......BUT i cant figure out why such a high swing in temps......

Peace

Is the metal halide bulb vented? Can you show me a pic of the cab & the lighting system?

the hood has this capability...i do not however. I will snap some pictures when i get home.....here is the cab right now....basically the light is hanging above.....see the 90's down below?>?? well on top of the light is my fan extracting upwards the heat...i drilled 1/2 holes all in the top and then added another top to that with the fan....so basically the fan is drawing the air through the holes and out of the cab. Ill get better pictures later.....in a few hours...but thanks for trying to help here...the temps reading 81 in this picture was from 6am this morning...the lights were on since 2am

Whats the humidity? The 6 planst might have transpired more and raised the humidity thus lowering the temp.

You could try adding a cool mist humidifier and that would help some.

Next where do you exhaust the warm air? if its right out to the air that you intake than your just warming up the tent and outside air. Try venting out a window or into a attic. I use a tent as well and using these 2 methods my temps never get above 80-82 degrees depending on room temp.
