Well, where to start. First of all, this may be one of my first posts. I just wanted to mention how thankful I am for the knowledge I've gleaned from these boards.
Alright. I have about a year of horticultural experience, as a renter legally growing in the upstairs of the house of a consenting landlord, where getting rid of my exhaust was relatively easy. Went from Fox Farm soil & nutes to Pro Mix & General Organics to Coco & House & Garden nutes.
I am now looking at the possibility of setting up a similar grow in my basement. I have seen various opinions on here about the best way to get rid of the smell when growing in a basement, and am looking for some input. To me it seems like the best solution would be to go through the chimney area of this house (which doesn't actually have a fireplace.) In the basement, it seems that the water heater exhausts through it, and it also looks like there have possibly been other things hooked up to this column in the past. I'm wondering if somebody with some experience in this area can give me an opinion about these photos and how feasible it would be to go through the chimney column for exhaust.
Thanks!
