New Led Closet Grow need help with Light set up/ configuration

Hello and happy growing to all,

First off I have a grow closet in the shape on an L with on stretch of 8x2x8= L,W,H and the smaller section of 4x2x6.
I was thinking small space (veg) and the larger for scrog.
I currently have the space rented to a fellow caretaker for 50% of the harvest since I am also a caretaker and it is my house.
He currently is using a 400w Mh & 1000w hps on a light rail system with 10x2x8 floor space small cubby L shape left out.
The 400 watt mh is mine and I plan to use it for seedling's and vegg. but that leaves me with no lights for flowering.
I'm trying to do a perpetual grow planting 2 seeds every month (give or take a week).
The light rail sytem my buddy's that I hope to procure somehow from him...
As for as the help I need I'm slightly undetermined on my set up of lights and maybe someone with L.e.d. exp can help.
I plan on purchasing 2 California lightworks 200w solar flare panel. Figured I might need to use them as stand alone flower lights for a grow or 2 since I won't have much of a budget left over after that 900$ light purchase.
Has anyone used them as stand alone lights?
Another ? do florescent bulbs do well with led as supplemental lighting?
Would 2 200 watt led panels be enough with "scrogg" for 4 plants in a 8x2x8 with 2 being in early bloom and 2 in late bloom?
I hope somebody can help ease my mind.......:wall:

u can do this much eaiser and cheaper
first off u are growing autos if u are tring to harvest every 30/45 days

the area u have is good and u can do alot
u can do what u want with a simple set up the flowering need a order control system i am assuming .....and u have worked out the venting to keep the air cool and supply with enough fresh co2 and o

the easiest way to do this is 2 tents(if not then just 2 areas) .............u get a system like this one ........it is way more power then u need for that space u can go for a 600w if u want ..........but get that hood design just add in some ducting and fan to the exhust path.......and u can mount a carbon filter infront of that

u have looks like 4 ft t5s.............those are great for starting and veggie ............u can set those up in anouther area since they do not smell untill flowering all good and the light u have more then enough........do a your L shape but hang it so it is like little roof ..............with it being a auto the plant will be out there for 28 days or so (including seed to sprout time) ..............then move them to that room use a scrog system and u should have some buds that would make most ppl jealous

and the cost is under 900
that light system and hood plus a 400 6inch cfm (active air i like them) a carbon filter to match that cfm and 25 feet of flexie ducting 500 or less
 
I'm actually pretty deadset on L.e.d's, for one the people who pay bills around here will continue paying the same portion of the electric bill (which is all of it) if I use L.e.d.'s so that being one of many major deciding factor's.... LED's it is
 
i read and i also so it would make u cash pour

hence why i said to do this as it is cheaper choice and the result are good way to recoop the cash off set the bills and build your dream set up with out causing u to be hurt or skip meals

i built my first set up from CFLs it ment i skipped 2 weeks of food for 2 months(i only eat once a day) just to get the tent up and all that .........from that i was t5 then hid and i have recovered all the cost plus turned a profit with in 6 months of that and now i can get a 10x10x8 tent with black star leds and run a 8 pot hydro ...............and that is all with out losing any food

i am running 2 600 w hid and the bill increase has be about 60 75 bucks but i also run a stil now and then ..........and if u are running a 600 watt led that is still 600watts

u want to go lowest power with most bang it is T5s
 
Go with area 51or hans led. Much better higher par, Cree leds, lower watts. Larger foot print. Better warranty.
 
I've looked into both wasn't overly impressed with area 51 and hans led is retarded expensive for such low power

in my opinion
That sounded harsh let me rephrase "i like the 2 of them but currently I am more interested to california lightworks than any other led manufacture atm

its not about how many watts. Its about how much par (umole/s). They both have higher par and better quality Leds.
there's like 50 a51 threads and a few hans threads on here. Imo they kick the shit out of clw.


the Cree globes from home depot kick ass too. Check out captain morgans thread
 
I've seen the par number for the solar flare via chart form on one of the other post's but i don't remember seeing either area 51 or the han panels real par measurements

go to the company websites and/or read the threads

you do know the clw 200w really pulls only 120w. It has 40 5w leds. But they are not driven to full power. They would fry if they did. Each led pulls 3w.
 
but the hans panel only uses 65 watts and it costs the same as clw 100watt that uses a single 100 watt driver obviously not fully powed but better than the hans panel for the cost and it american made 3 yr warrenty. Oh haha now that I've dug around abit on a-51's site I found there pars there pretty compairable to cfl but, I would need 2 area 51's as well and that would put me almost 200 over what the solar flares are for a pair of 2. Are The solarflares not a good option in your mind hyroot? if so why 4?

Man all I do I read thread it seems... lol

Oh and clw actually claim 165 watts from the 200watt panel

Yep 165w from the wall^^... that's including the driver(s) and fan so minus 20-23watts from that for actual led power. George @ CLW did say they drive their 5w hard at just over 4w. They are still good quality panels, my issues is that he hasn't updated the emitters for 2+years now? I think they are still using Ledengin single 5w emitters, not sure though. That's why Hyroot's suggestions are valid because area51/hans just updated to newer diodes and should be more efficient.

Hans uses the best 660nm (oslons)diodes on the market(big plus in my book) and above average 630/white/460nm(cree) hence the price..........same with area 51
 
OK I see the point. I'll do a lil more investigating before i make my final choice but damn those Solar flares sure look pretty
 
I'm starting to like the price when you buy 3 panels from bonsaihero thats not bad at all especially compaired to CLW 3 56w hans for around 700 or 2 140-150w (200) for about 800 hmm.
 
So the next question for the forum, would 3 hans panels with 2 4 foot t5's cover a 2x8 area??? I asked hans this same question, and the reply I got back was "Reasonable, 2 * 5 foot would be better" .
Does anyone on the forum own 3 hans panels?
