New room build 6x14

I've been hard at work getting this room ready for my girls to move in, the room is 6x14x7h at the tallest wall. I just finished boarding the walls and painting today now to start moving the gear in and getting the enviroment dialed in.I will be using:

a 6" 470cfm inline fan
2 400 watt HPS
currently the intake is passive although I am planning on picking up a 100 cfm inline fan to pick up the slack
50 pint dehumidifier
Will be adding as I go at this point I am just trying to get it up and running

The door from the outside, you can see my air intake on the side I still need to insulate the ducts tomorrow i'm having some condensation issues with it now.

My outtake vent the plug next to it is wired to the dimmer swith so i can control my fan speeds


Quick coat of paint to protect my wood, I'm planning on putting plastic on the walls. Probably on the next run as the budget is stretched pretty thin now and I just want to get my plants in and get a harvest out of the room.

Great looking space! Congrats.

Are you planning on adding more light as you add plants? I don't know HPS all that well, but 800w doesn't seem like much for a space that big. (Honest question.)

Yes I will be upgrading to 3 600 watt of led eventually I think, I just wanted to start with the couple lights that I had in my closet gathering dust.

Probably should have touched on my electrical specs.
I have one 20 amp circuit for my lights going to 3 boxes in my ceiling.
One 15amp circuit for my wall outlets.
I have. 1250 watt baseboard heater on a programmable thermostat.
I also have a wire in the wall if I want to add a mini split down the road.

Another update on the grow room build out, I would have loved to get in there and give everything another coat of paint, but i'm low on funds and time, and that paint is relatively expensive.I will have to do it after this run its more a cosmetic thing at this point i have a nice seal on it. I hung one light and hooked up my fans. I currently have the light on and the fans are running at about 30% and i'm gonna see what my temps do over the next 24 hours. I'm taking my air directly from the outside right now so I will have to see if this is still too cold this time of year, I wont mind having to heat the room a little bit but if it is too cold in there i may switch my intake to the room outside the flower room because i will have more control over the temperature.



Fan is mounted, haven't picked up a filter yet but I am still in early veg so I got time

My homemade insulated duct, R12 fiberglass insulation wrapped in poly and tuck tape seems to be effective so far

Hello everybody,

Another room update , got another light hung, equipment moved in and the girls are all settled in.

The rest of the lights and fixtures moved in

Temps and humidity are a little low but I am working on dialing that in, I really just need the plants to grow a bit bigger and I think the humidity should go up a bit.

My plants Strawberry starkiller og and 9lb hammer, the 9lb is a little stunted.

Obviously still some work to do, some improvements to make, and some gear to add. But I am out of money to sink into this for now so I am going to run with this for a little while and get some harvests under my belt, see if I can get some results, see if i can get a couple good phenos and try and dial them in. If I do anything note worthy I will post updates, and I will continue plant updates in my grow journal.Cheers.
