Hope this finds all is well. I have a secure space 12' X 20' and a budget of about $3000.00 usd. Anything I can purchase at Lowes will not count against my budget. I have grown outdoor only several times with good results but current financial conditions dictate the need to produce a little. Any and all input is greatly appreciated. I have never attempted hydro but am willing to try if enough of you think it is doable for a beginner. I am a home remodeler / builder so I am confident I can handle the setup myself. Suggestions please!

If you are offsetting lowes costs, you can grow fro free!

For 3000 bux you cab get an awesome hydro setup.

buy something like this. get 2 setups, one for veg, another to flower. These units can hold anywhere from 12 to 100 plants, fed by a single reservoir.

Ventilation and lighting can be purchased at lowes, though I would spend on good air cooled grow lights, since you have cash to use!

I would spend money on a good grow light or lights and the ventilation to keep it nice and cool..You can use hid light setups which will give you your moneys worth when it comes to your grow.2 set ups will be perfect with the size you have. You can have veg/cloning room and flower room for all your needs..

I really appreciate your quick input. How many tables of how many plants are realistic.
Also, I was wondering if I built walls on castors so I could move them close to reflect light and away to care for the plants would that help much? And should the walls be perfectly plumb or is it better to have a certain angle on them for better reflection direction?

dj,
do us a favor please.

Check out a couple of diaries, guys like desertrat post some awesome pics of his way of growing.
Others too.
Moving the walls on castor's is, in my opinion, well we all know about opinions and I've got some stinkers.

Spend some time and make up your mind and do it your way. Only one real way to learn this Plant.

Trail and error and honing your skillsets.

and PICTURES will help those here that can help you.
