i was concidering a new setup for next year but i want to get the design set out so that i can gather all the materials without any rush and get some cash together... i wanted to build a 5'x6' room that about 7' high and i was going to use a 1000watt hps digital ballast for lighting.. i was planing to have about 10 good sized plants in the room that are in 5 gallon pots with soil..

My veg/clone/mother setup would be 2- 2bulb floro shop lights in a 4.5'x3.5' and about 4' high i would be using the most of my room by putting 10 clones in small pots to get about 1ft tall by the time the other crop is ready.. and the new plants are going into flower at 1ft ...that way i'll always have plantts in flower..

I will be keeping 2 mother plants for clones.. (yes i know i only need one mother for 10 or so clones but i like to have 2 mothers just incase something happens to one..)

in my flowering room i will have a digital dehumidifier because i live in a humid area.. and i will also have one oscolation fan in the room to keep the air circulating.. i am still unsure of the inlet and exhaust fans for the flowering rooms
As far as the veg room i'll just leave the door open a crack with a small fan to stregnthen stems..

any sudgestions or comments that you would like to add please do so..
O i almost forgot i'll have my inlet and exhaust fans on a temp gague in order to keep the temp relatively stable in the flower room... thankss

What about heat,1000 watts puts off a lot of heat,an air-cooled hood hooked up to an inline fan vented outside works great for that and depending on region A/C is also needed for temp control.Co2 system is also great if you have the money.

well atm i don't have alot of money.. i was thinking about the air cooled hood but with a 7' ceiling and i would be walking past my plants and the lights everyday in the room i think it would be easier to just let the light give off the heat instead of messing around with ducting.. also i will have some space to get to my plants.. and every couple of days i'll just switch them around so they all get equal light.. if need be i can take a plant out of the room in order to do something with it because it will be only in the daylight (lights on) hours that ill be in the room.. by the way i'm only having 10 plants in the room and i'll keep them under control so i can move in there lol

Have you ran that 1000 watt???,it gets really hot,and I don't get what you mean, "but with a 7' ceiling and i would be walking past my plants and the lights everyday in the room i think it would be easier to just let the light give off the heat instead of messing around with ducting," my room is 5 feet wide 12 foot long and 8 feet tall and I run 1000 watt and still gets kinda warm with an air-cooled hood vented properly and I run Co2 so my temps can be a little higher.Just a heads up.

so what your saying is that i might have a heat issue?.. well i could get a cooltube to try to take care of the heat issue and still have the intake and exhaust fans se on a thermometer.. that way i can just control the heat from the light and the heat of the room at the same time

but i have a slight prob.. i have 2 main walls on the outside of my room because the box/room will be built in the corner and my exhaust will be sent up into the attic which will be all vapor barriored in order to prevent mold up there...also that air will go out through 2 vents in either side of the houses roof...

but i was hoping to duct the 1000watt back out into my house to help with heat.. but i can only run one side of ducting because i have no intake for just the light due to the bedroom wall.. and i don't want the air from the room going back into my house because of the smell.. any one sudgest something?

i need some help because my gro room is going to be built in the corner of my room.. the 100watt will give off too much heat and insted of leaving alot of fans on all the time i will just cool the light with one fan (cooltube maybe) and then have another seperate exhaust fan to go into my attic and get out along with the smell through the roof vents of my house..
The problem is that i can't get to run my intake for the cooltube because the growroom's wall is my bedroom wall.. and if i cut out through that i'll be outside.. and i don't want to do that because of temp problems in the winter time.. and i don't want to exhaust the room and the might out the one fan because i don't want the smell in the house and i wanted to use the heat from the light to help heat my small house..

Can anyone give me a sudgestion that wouldn't use too much ducting (because i want the light to be moveable without too much hastle) and i need to beable to get around in the room also..
