New Strain, Plants shot up too quick, no room left to grow - what to do?

Hi guys... Never come accross this problem as i've usually kept the same strains as people i know so i've known how they behave etc. So im running a new strain and Ive switched from a massive 3x3x3 meter room to a 1.5x.5x2 meter grow tent.

I am growing two Kandy Kush's in a small tent and switched them when they were about a foot high, they're three weeks into flower now and are over 5 foot tall, they have litterally grown 4 foot in three weeks. Internodes are tight and it's looks like it's gonna produce quality buds but the branch tops are all burnin themselves on my light and its the highest itll go now and its also grow too bushy, the plants are all hard up against the sides of the tent.

I seem to have two options here; 1)Trim plants down to a suitable height/width or 2) just pull them and start again (I have 8 good clones from these two plants)

What would you do? I suspect I still have 6 or 7 weeks of flower yet.

keep em! worst case is you get some airy buds to make hash from at the bottom of the plant

looks like a 12/12 form seed/clone strain to me.

throw up some pictures

I figure if i chucked some clones in there now, maybe 4 i'll end up with better bud in the same amount of time with less hicups

Strain is Kandy Kush too and from what i researched not ment to be a big plant but i guess i got a phenotype that does haha... so yeah, probably two weeks of veg then flower next time

started flowering a darkstar at 1ft and it's maxed out at 8ft , seen nothing like it before. topped the clones for round 2

so did yo pull the original plants?

No, its in the grow room 4 weeks in to flower,clones are in a tent about a foot high and moving them out the tent tommorrow. got plenty room dude, got 10 ultimates and a heavy duty fruity in there , can post a pic of the darkstar for u tommorrow if your interested.

Guess i could experiment and chop em down in half, see how i go? But i recon it'll cause the plants to spazz out being chopped during flower.

I went in there today and had a punch on with it, told them to make me a sandwhich and when they didnt smacked my bitches up some more... Will see how they look in a few days

If you already have some other clones of it that will be ready soon I would just start over. I have height restrictions too and once theyve gotten too tall its totally a pain in the ass to deal with and sucks the fun out of the grow..for me anyways. The buds that are burning on top already could really bleach out and have some dead tissue which would be a bud rot magnet later on. Now that you know to expect the stretch you could veg for a shorter amount of time,maybe top them once and put them in smaller. Your call though, good luck.

Exactly... i have 8 clones all rooted up in the last day or two and only need two to keep as mums. So yes 6 in total ready to go.

Yeah either Supercrop her or tie down the top of the plant, but be careful not to break the main stem!
