New to carbon filters

Do to new circumstances I will need to reduce the smell of my grows. I've never used a carbon filter before.

I don't have a way to vent to outside, so is the filter safe to run in a room with no ventilation? I'm obviously uneducated on how these things work, just wondering if they will in any way cause a health hazard.

My opinion on fans is that your better going larger and using a speed adjuster to slow it down. A it makes less noise than a smaller one at full steam. The second is as seasons change it might be harder to cool and having power in reserve might be handy.

Makes sense. I could spring for a 6 inch bundle. Especially if I end up with a larger tent down the line.

if you can afford it bigger is better. the 6 inch ought to cover your current tent, an 8 inch will do it and you may decide to upgrade to a larger area and still be covered, your decision there.

air and lights, go big, and adjust down if needed....

Go budget on things like nutes.....

When I harvest, I rock a pair of 6" filters on a single fan, one in one out, just as a scrubber.... if you have the means, this style scrubber may be an option....

I have a 48"x48"x56" tent and i bought a fan filter combo on ebay for 56 bucks. Came with fan, pre filter, and main filter. Works great doesnt smell isnt loud, you can barely hear it while standing in the closet while its running. I vent out of the tent into the closet itself and dont smell a thing

Venting to the outside is completely unnecessary for cab grows. My desktop puts out more heat than my tent while playing games, it's not a whole lot of heat.

In terms of sound, I think the smart move is to get a fan/filter that's slightly too large for your setup and dial the fan back. My 4" kind of makes a lot of noise.
