New to Growing - Daylight CFL's?

Wsup people,

I just transplanted three germinated bag seeds into 16oz cups (i seed per cup) the growing medium is blackgold (soil) mixed 2:1 with perlite.

I've decided I want to do an experimental grow using just CFL's. I'm just trying it out, not too worried about yield, just dipping my feet in the water so I'm doing this relatively cheap.

My question is will one 23 watt daylight cfls and one 23 watt cool light cfl be enough for the first month?

I plan to end up with 1 daylight and 1 cool light for each plant.

Does this sound doable? Thanks!

Off to a great start for your first grow, much more prepared than I was(I'm a two weeks into flower). I started with sand. But as far as the lights go I would most def go with atleast 1 65w. They're 20 bucks at lowes. I'm actually about to invest in another one myself to really help me get thru flowering. But yeah, post some pics of your set-up an check out my grow, the link is in my sig.

I had good luck with 42 watt daylight CFL's. If you place your plants in cups in a white 5 gallon bucket with the bulb inside the bucket they will grow well. When they reach the bulb you can raise it some or move on to bigger lights. Just an off the wall setup that works really well. If you aren't biased towards CFL's you'll get better results with full size tubes. One or two plants will be fine with the CFL.
