- best fertilizers to use? i like GH 3-part but there are many good ones out there
- lighting is one 400 HPS good size for a 4x4 Mylar grow tent? 400 would be fine, but 600 would be optimal
- I'm thinking 2 6in inline fans for ventilation? (along with carbon filter on exhaust fan) 1 - 6" will do the trick
- good seeds for new growers i was thinking of maybe Barney's Farm LSD, white widow? WW,, w/e you want to grow

imo, coco-coir is the easiest of any medium to grow in. it's like soil, but is treated as hydro. for a good yield, grow in 5 gallon container, i do. the container and plant together end up taking about 3' x 4' of space, give or take. i like the house and garden coco specific line for nutes. 400 is fine. the 6" fans are what i use. i set one right on top of my filter. the strain you use doesn't really matter. if you're gonna grow multiple strains, keep in mind feed strengths will vary.

If the OP is new, I say bag seed because there is no sense wasting money on seedbank seeds for an experiment. How many threads have we seen with high $$ seed for the newbie to kill the plants? Practice with bag seed, develop your system then move up.
one of the fans (would be at the bottom of the tent would be a cheap one the fan at the top is a vary nice multi speed inline.) but from what others are saying ill probably just use the inline up top and maybe a small fan next to the plants if need be.

once i had an ad on craigslist for clones and a guy asked me to trade clones rather than clones for cash. i trusted his word cause he sounded legit and i took a couple clones from him. they were called sugarbabe.
this was the best genes to hit my garden BYFAR in terms of quality, bag appeal, smell/taste etc ...
the plants barely stretched, i only grew them a few inches before switching the lights, therefore the yield was poor.
i did NOT keep them around

Stop being an asshole rzza. A different opinion then yours doesn't make him retarded. If you don't have the experience, your suggesting $50-60 seeds?! why, is time of the essence? I should have probably started off with bagseed.
Now this makes sense. Nirvana has some fairly cheep seeds, and their just unstable enough to give you a variety of pheno's to choose from to make your mommy out of.
