New to hydroponics.. Got the caddy cabinet..

Hello all.. Well I just invested in a caddy and it cost me 2000 dollars.. Big stupid mistake on my behalf, I should of built my own cabinet.. Anyways Im new to growing hydro, never done it before.. I only grew one time before and out of 3 plants, one turned out to be a female.. Anyways I got a few questions like how long would the vegetative stage be? How long would the flowering stage be? How would I know how much nutrients are needed and when to put it? I have a TDS meter but dont know how much nutes are needed depending on the plant size.. How many plants should I put in the cabinet? Any help would be great and I would appreciate any feedback my fellow growers :peace:

Hey dude. Dont know to much about the hydro side of things, im a dirt grower. But il help as much as possible.

Vegative Stage - Its upto you, you could start on 12/12 if you really wanted, i dont recommend this but. I normally flower at around 10-14 nodes or around 4 weeks and normally end up with a few ounces per plant. This sort of thing take a few grows to find what you like. If height is a restriction you may want to do it earlyier remembering plants double/triple in size when flowering.

Flowering Stage - I would flower until the trichromes turn amber. Indicas can be from 6-10 weeks, sativa can take something like upto 16 weeks iv heard. Get yourself a 60-100x Magnifier/Pocket Microscope off ebay or something so you can examine them. Theres a few posts about it in havesting and curing and GrowFAQ.

Nutes - Im not to sure about all that ppm stuff.

Is it the sunlight shed cool caddy? If so check out the grow journals for I think Chiceah. If it is sunlight shed it should have a dvd or you can go to the web site and there is a step by step directions....

how many plants would fit in the caddy? someone told me only 7 but would it be alright to put 10 seeds and then cut out the female or would that be too much?
